This website was originally launched in the early 1990s, drawn in part from Dr. Max van Manen’s own work, including the text Researching Lived Experiences: Human Science for an Action Sensitive Pedagogy. Since that time, Dr. van Manen’s enthusiasm for phenomenology as a method for human science inquiry has continued.

Canadian Guide Dogs
The Canadian Guide Dogs mission is “to assist visually-impaired Canadians with their mobility by providing and training them in the use of professionally trained Guide Dogs”. We made the site ADA compliant to allow users with vision impairments to access the site information. The Guide Dogs redesign was done in 2004 under the employment of local organization FCIP, and is still in use to this day.
Vista Eye Care – Optometrists in Victoria BC
Vista Eye Care opened as the Dr. Eitutis & Associates clinic was started by Dr. Arnie Eitutis over 35 years ago. It originally was located in the heart of Cook street village before moving to the Gordon Head area. Dr. Eitutis had practiced a few years in the plaza across the street before moving to our location above Coast Capital at Cedar Hill X and Shelbourne Street.
